The Start-Up Loans Company is passionate about supporting innovation. Our mission is to make business ownership a viable career option for individuals in the UK who struggle to raise finance. The aim of the Start Up Loans programme is to provide access to affordable personal loans, support and mentoring to help individuals who meet our eligibility criteria succeed.
Our staff and partners are committed to achieving this goal.
We also believe that those engaging with the Start Up Loans programme, whether potential applicants or borrowers, have a right for any enquiry or concern they may have about their experience with the programme to be appropriately considered and treated with respect.
We also understand that it can be frustrating if your application does not proceed as you hoped or expected. However, if that frustration escalates to abuse, threats or aggression towards Start Up Loans staff, or the staff of our Business Support Partners or Finance Provider, then we will not be able to deal with your enquiry or concern or your application.
Any abusive or aggressive behaviour toward our partners and/or staff will not be tolerated and will result in your application being declined with immediate effect. Furthermore, we reserve the right to cease any further communication with you if you display any abusive, aggressive, or threatening behaviour to our staff or the staff of our partners. We also reserve the right to take further action against such behaviour where appropriate, including, but not limited to, reporting the behaviour to the police, and/or taking civil action pursuant to the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
Aggressive or abusive behaviour includes any language (whether oral or written) that may cause staff to feel afraid, alarmed, threatened, or abused and by way of example may include threats, personal abuse, obscene / derogatory remarks and rudeness. We also consider inflammatory statements, remarks of a racial or discriminatory nature and unsubstantiated allegations to be abusive behaviour.
