Hamish Dobbie produces a wide range of fine silversmith and acrylic products that range from costing between £5-£11,000 and anywhere in-between.

Hamish’s designs are inspired by the Scottish Highlands and their sense of peacefulness. His work focuses on the textures of the rocks and landscape found there.

One piece he has been working on for six months but others can be done in an hour.

Hamish sells his products online and also works on commission for Museums and Schools among other institutions to produce things like trophy’s and installations.

Hamish also tutors at the Glasgow School of Art and sometimes take some of his pupils on at his work so they can gain experience and he can have someone helping him out. The Start Up Loan that he received was primarily because he had been excepted on to having a place at the prestigious Goldsmiths’ Fair and needed funding to pay for his table and equipment that allowed him to attend.
