Roger and Angela Jennett have fulfilled their ambition of opening a friendly family-run day nursery in the heart of Lincoln.
The couple bring more than ten years’ experience of childcare to Cherry Tree Day Nursery, which opened at the end May 2014.
The nursery has quickly grown and now employs eight fully qualified members of staff with three additional contractors. Cherry Tree Day Nursery focusses on both fun and education, with a vegetable plot and chicken run in the garden. The produce gets served up for lunch.
At our nursery we make it our priority to support and encourage intellectual development. Creating a balanced environment using structural play and free time, indoor lessons and outdoor activities that support social as well as academic development.
Both Roger and Angela are registered foster carers, although just a few months ago they were both unemployed. A trip to their local job centre introduced them to Start Up Loans and their local delivery partner NWES who provided ongoing practical advice for the start up business.
