Amity Brew Co is a local craft brewery, offering a range of draught and canned beers. They provide tours of the brewery, an outside terrace, inside bar and weekly events for the community. They also have their own merch for sale. The three directors took out their loans in April 2020, at £25,000 each.

Amity Brew Co was founded during the Covid-19 pandemic and has developed into one of the region’s best success stories. The Start Up Loans funding aided the business in opening its first bar and brewery in Farsley and contributed to purchasing a canning line so the business could package beers in house. It also supported the business as it recruited new team members, including a brewer and a manager for the tap room.

Our transformation from a local brewery to a nationally acclaimed ‘new wave brewery’ has been down to the perseverance of our team, especially as many businesses saw immense challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. As 2023 Start Up Loans Ambassadors, we’re eager to share our story and motivate others to explore new horizons and navigate challenges on their entrepreneurial paths.
